Stubborn toilet flush caked with calcium

Plus 4 more

The flush was stuck, refused to move, No twist or tug could make it glide.

WD-40 worked its magic flow—Loosened the grip fast, cleaned up the grime and presto problem solved!

Step 1: Dry the Area

Use a dry cloth and paper towels to dry around the flush mechanism so WD-40 sticks well.

Step 2: Spray WD-40 Generously

Aim the WD-40 directly at the base of the flush mechanism and any visible buildup. Focus on crevices or threaded parts.

Step 3: Let It Soak In

Wait 5–10 minutes to let WD-40 penetrate the calcium and loosen the stuck parts.

Step 4: Try Unscrewing

With gloves on, try to unscrew the flush mechanism by hand. Use a wrench gently if needed.

Step 5: Presto problem solved!

Flush removed - now need to grab a toothbrush to scrub off any loosened calcium or grime.
