Id like to submit my husbands restoration on some old wooden levels (with his permission) First the wood was sanded by hand back to raw wood. He then used linseed oil to bring out the natural wood grain in these old levels. Wd-40 was sprayed on the brass parts of these old wooden levels to help remove rust and assist in polishing. They now hang on a wall in our house
