A messy job but a big payoff

I found an old jack hammer that someone was throwing away because it wasn’t working. As I need one and hated the thought of it being wasted and going to landfill, I decided to repair it. The motor was fine but the rest was clogged up and the piston was seized. It had been severely miss-treated and every bolt was a mission to undo. I had never repaired one before and it was a messy job, but with a big payoff. Everything needed to be systematically taken apart and there was a lot of gunk in it. I could not have done it without my can of WD40 for lubricating and cleaning.
